Two Princes Declared Wanted By Police For Stealing Olu of Warri Crown – Naijanewsdirect

Two sons of the immediate Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli Emiko, Princes Onyowoli and Omatsuli, have been declared wanted over the stolen 400-year-old crown of Warri Kingdom.

The Zone 5 of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Benin, Edo State, declared the princes wanted ahead of Saturday’s coronation of Prince Tsola Emiko, son of Olu Atuwatse as Olu of Warri.

The Princes allegedly broke into the private apartment of the Olu of Warri where the crown and other valuables were stolen, and made away with the crown.

Also, the Federal High Court in the Edo state capital has issued them warrants of arrest.

According to the Police, the 30-year-old Prince Oyowoli is a student, Itsekiri by tribe and 5.2ft of height while his younger brother, Omatsuli, 27, is a student and is about 5.6ft tall.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone 5, Benin, issued the bulletins detailing the princes declaration as wanted persons, on the orders of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali.

However, last Friday, the AIG Zone 5 and some officers at the zonal headquarters, grilled the suspended traditional Prime Minister of the Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami, over the invasion of the palace of the Olu of Warri and alleged theft of the ancient crown.
