It is tragic news for Tottenham wing back Serge Aurier just after thier crucial north London derby win.
According to reports from Thesun UK, Aurier’s brother Christopher was shot dead in the early hours of today.
It is reported that the 26-year-old’s killer is still on the run after the incident in Toulouse, France.
Christoper was found on the ground by local residents, they called the police and police officers confirmed he had been shot in the abdomen.
He was declared dead at the Toulouse University Hospital
Christoper, brother of Tottenham star also played football but at amateur level, he had a trial at Brentford in 2011 but did not make the cut.
Christoper and Aurier both went through the academy system in RC Lens in the early stages of thier careers.
This is tragic news for the Tottenham star and I think Mourinho will be very concerned about Aurier’s mental state going forward, especially at this very crucial stage of the League.
Mourinho would hope the player would be able to deal with the situation and still play football as his services is very much needed. Tottenham have no known replacement for Aurier.
