Nigeria’s famous businessman cum politician, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof popularly called Kendoo has debunked news making the rounds that he was planning to reunite with his estranged wife and top actress, Funke Akindele.
It would be recalled that both former love birds got married and separated about eight years ago and the separation was premised on irreconcilable differences.
An aide to Kendoo told journalists on Saturday that Almaroof who is presently on holiday and business trip abroad never contemplated, or issued a statement or granted an interview in this regard.
According to the source, the speculation was orchestrated by his political opponents who are afraid of his political clout, influence and the massive support he has been getting from the political clime.
“Oga (Kendoo) is not in the country at the moment. He is currently on holiday and business trip. So, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not make such statements. This is a lie from the pit of hell by our political detractors who are not happy with the growing popularity of our symbol.”
The aide further said, “Otunba is happy with his life, with his family, and we never expected our detractors to stoop so low by spewing lies. Meanwhile, we are focused and want the public to disregard any malignant statements about Otunba because this chairmanship project is ordained by God and nothing can stop us.” He concluded
