The Curtain may have been drawn on the All Progressives Congress (APC) much-awaited national convention in Abuja but the drama that ensued over consensus arrangement did not go unnoticed. While the convention was ongoing some aspirants mounted the stage and openly disagreed to step down for consensus candidates.
Hon Nduka, an aspirant for the post of National Secretary said he will not step down for any candidate because he has been in the party for years.
He revealed that only few people started the party with them and the person that just came in three months ago is being made the consensus candidate.
Another woman, Mary Ekpe also stormed the stage to say she won’t step down, this caused serious rancor on stage and security details had to step in to douse the tension. It would be recalled that the position of the National Secretary of the party was zoned to Southwest. Senator Iyiola Omisore was the consensus candidate for the position.
