Chelsea Brazilian forward and playmaker, Willian is on the verge of signing for North London rivals Arsenal in a free transfer deal.
The Brazilian’s contract is set to expire soon and have so far not been able to agree a new deal that will make him continue his playing career with the Blues.
Since the exit of the lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Willian is by far the best player in the entire Chelsea Squad with series of consistent displays and performance, hence Chelsea are going against their policy of not giving out contract extension to players that are above 30 years mark.
So far, Willian is 31 years old, and have reteirated his desire to remain with the Blues by asking for a Three Years Contract Extension. Chelsea have so far responded by only offering him a Two Years Contract which he has bluntly turned down.
Over the weekend, when bother teams filled out at the Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup final which the Gunners eventually won 2-0 courtesy of two goals from talisman and captain, Aubameyang, Willian was left out of the squad minutes to kick off.
The Brazilian though was seen in the stadium watching the game, putting on the Blues track suit, he was busy chatting with some Gunners players further fuelling rumours and speculations about his potential exit from Chelsea to Arsenal.
Arsenal have tabled a Three Years Contract with contract which he is clamouring for at Chelsea for Willian.
Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta is an admirer of the Brazilian whom he believes will add quality and creativity to his side and also bring his wealth of experience to the squad that will enable their young players to learn from him.
Willian’s agent is a die hard Arsenal supporter and Edu who happens to be the Gunners technical director are serious working on negotiation that will bring the Brazilian to the Emirates Stadium after turning down Chelsea’s two years deal offer.
