Former Governor of Lagos state and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nigeria.
Sources close to the National Leader said Tinubu came in the evening, Friday, 8 October, 2021 to beat his campaign group, SWAGA 2023 to the rally planned for Sunday, 10 October 2023, when they were hoping to receive him with a mother of all rallies that will shake the nation. Although, multiple sources said the rally may be postponed.
“Asiwaju is not disposed to the elaborate rally planned to receive him by his supporters because of the mood of the nation, that’s why he came in quietly, unannounced,” said a source who craves anonymity.
It will be recalled that SWAGA 2023 launched the South West chapter of the campaign in Lagos on Thursday, 7 October, 2021 with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; leader of SWAGA, Senator Dayo Adeyeye; and his deputy, Senator Soji Akanbi; as well as other APC stalwarts to kickstart the 2023 presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, an organization known as Tinubu Support Organisation is holding a prayer session for Tinubu at Oduduwa Crescent, GRA Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday October 9, 2021.
