Real Reason Why Tinubu’s DG, Jibrin Dumped APC – Naijanewsdirect

It's no longer news that the Director General (DG) of the Bola Tinubu Campaign Organization,  Abdulmumin Jibrin has announced his decision to dump the All Progressives Congress ( APC ), what is news is the reason behind his decision.Contrary to widespread belief that his defection may be as a result of a possible rejection of Asiwaju’s 2023 ambition by President Muhammadu Buhari, Jibrin’s problems arise from a decision not to give him the party’s ticket to return to the House of Representatives. Jibrin and Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje have been at loggerheads for sometime over local political issues. It can be recalled that Jibrin had represented Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives between 2011 and 2019 before losing the re-run election to the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. However, Tinubu has been informed of the problem and has now stepped into the matter. It was gathered that the former Lagos state governor has reached out to Governor Ganduje to resolve the matter. A reliable source disclosed that Jibrin will also be meeting with Tinubu in a matter of hours for a total resolution of the crisis.

Information reaching Naijanewsdirect has it that Prince Sunday Ajayi was said to have allegedly collected a sum of N100m from the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to coax members of the movement to return to the APC. Sources within the group said the APC intend to infiltrate the movement and Sunday Ajayi appeared to be the willing tool, hence the incentive from Tinubu. Sunday Ajayi was also alleged to have been holding secret meetings with emissaries of the APC and had commenced a botched mission to cajole members of the movement to return to the APC. Meanwhile, in his reaction to the allegation against him, Prince Sunday Ajayi said he voluntarily left the movement because of the questionable character and draconian lifestyle of the founder, Jide Adediran. He also described Jandor as dubious and frustrated man. "My attention has been drawn to a malicious statement by Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) claiming that I collected N100 million from Bola Tinubu. "Ordinarily, I wouldn't have dignified a man whose life has been shrouded in controversy with an answer, but for the benefit of the general public and the undiscerning members of the movement who have been blindfolded by the shenanigans of a man whose dubious lifestyle of scavenging for funds is known to the people. "For the records, I, Hon. Prince Sunday Ajayi, withdrew from the activities of Lagos4Lagos because of the questionable character and draconian lifestyle of Jandor. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu: On The Trial of a Master Strategist ***by Tunji Bello – Naijanewsdirect

Our first encounter was rather frosty. Senator Bola Tinubu thought I was assigned to denigrate the Sarumi Group in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of which he was one of the Arrowheads. This was in the late November of 1990. I was then the Group Political Editor of the Concord Newspapers. Asiwaju Tinubu and his Caucus saw me and my team as an Adversary. Interestingly, the same accusation was levelled against me by Chief Tom Ikimi, the National Chairman of National Republican Convention (NRC) when I went to interview him at his Victoria Island Residence in Lagos. NRC was the second of the two Parties General Ibrahim Babangida had created for Nigerian Politicians in his bizarre transition programme that time. Relations between Asiwaju and I never improved until late Chief MKO Abiola’s sojourn in politics fortuitously brought us together. MKO had summoned Dele Alake (Sunday Concord Editor), Segun Babatope (Chairman, Editorial Board) and myself to his Ikeja, Lagos Residence in late 1992 for advice as he was contemplating running for Presidency following Babagida’s cancellation of the Presidential Primaries of the two Parties. He was seeking counsel on which of the Parties to join. It was in the process of our discussion that he mentioned Senator Tinubu as one of the strategic political alliances he needed to make. He spoke glowingly of Tinubu’s political networking ability, his reliability once convinced, dedication and passion for a political cause. I was to see evidence of Tinubu’s uncommon traits MKO spoke about when June 12 election was annulled in 1993 and fate brought us together in the subsequent struggle for its revalidation and restoration of Democracy. As Concord’s Group Political Editor, I had gotten, on a Thursday, an “Exclusive” on what transpired at Babangida’s AFRC (Armed Forces Ruling Council) emergency meeting the previous day and their resolution on political Actors to be

Tinubu Donates N1bn To LASU For Leadership Development Centre – Naijanewsdirect

National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu, has donated a Centre of Leadership Development worth one billion naira to Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo. LASU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, announced the donation at the 25th convocation lecture of LASU on Thursday.   The theme of the Convocation Lecture was: “Global Trends: Nigeria and its Place in the World. Do We Love Ourselves Enough”. Tinubu was represented at the event by Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State. Speaking at the event, Tinubu urged government support for strategic industries that would employ young people and unleash their productive capacity.   He said that government backing of strategic manufacturing and industries would open the door wider to youth-owned start-up businesses. “National industrial and employment policies must jump from the pages of documents and come to real life. “This will help to reform the society to improve the economic prospects of young people in it. “We need a new more convivial way, a way that gives you the right start at a fair chance of durable prosperity. “This is the moral duty of progressive government to resurrect a flagging economy; to do what the private sector can not do by itself,” Tinubu said.   He added that no longer should our national compass remain pointed towards poverty instead of prosperity and towards lack, instead of abundance. “You graduates today should not live half lives or to subject your tremendous talents and aspirations to an economic condition that does not allow their full vent.   ” That you now graduate from this exemplar of learning and knowledge means the right answer is within you. “You have been equipped with the intellectual rigor, knowledge and an active social conscience all compelling you to place this right answer into practice,” Tinubu said. He noted that no society could long endure in an air of mistrust and acrimony. Source: Eaglesonline
