George Weah Hosts Son To A Dinner For Scoring For USA At World Cup (Photos) – Naijanewsdirect

The Liberian President, George Weah, on Tuesday disclosed that he was so overjoyed at his son's performance for the United States at the current World Cup holding in Qatar that he hosted his son to a dinner shortly after the match. His son, Timothy Weah, played for the United States on Monday and scored the only goal for the country during the 36th-minute of the match before Wales equalized on a late penalty kick from captain, Gareth Bale, in the 82nd minute of the match and the game ended 1-1. American Rapper, 50 Cent Plans To Produce TV Series On Nigerian Internet Fraudster, Hushpuppi – Naijanewsdirect

American rapper and movie producer, Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, has announced plans to release a movie series based on notorious Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abass known better as Hushpuppi. Sharing pictures of the convict, the executive producer of Hollywood TV series, “Power” and “Ghost”, made it known via his Instagram account on Wednesday that he was working on a movie project based on Hushpuppi’s story. The G-Unit Records founder wrote in the caption: “For my scammers I gotta do this one. Hushpuppi series coming soon! GLG, Green Light Gang I don’t miss. #Bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #gunitfilmandtv.” Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates in June 2020, for defrauding over 1.9 million people, majority of whom were Americans. The United States District Court sitting at the Central District of California on Monday sentenced convicted fraudster, Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpupi, to 11 years and three months’ imprisonment after he was found guilty of laundering proceeds of a school financing scam, business email compromise and other fraudulent cyber schemes. The United States Department of Justice, in a statement on Tuesday, said the Instagram celebrity was also ordered by a federal judge to pay $1.7m in restitution to two fraud victims. The judgment, which was delivered by Justice Otis Wright II, put an end to Hushpuppi’s trial that started after his arrest in June 2020 in his Dubai, United Arab Emirates hotel apartment.

Disrespect is trending on Twitter on Wednesday after a video of Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata known better as Teni, reportedly failing to shake or greet President Muhammadu Buhari while receiving a national award surfaces online. Naijanewsdirect had reported that Buhari on Tuesday conferred National Honours Award on 447 persons at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. According to the National Honours Award Investiture 2022 Programme, 450 recipients were awarded, making the total number of Nigeria’s national honours awardees 5,341 since 1963. Of the 450 recipients, six were awarded Grand Commanders of the Order of the Niger (GCON), 55 Commanders of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), 74 Members of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), 77 Officers of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR). Others are 110 Officers of the Order of the Niger (OON), 55 Members of the Order of the Niger (MON), 65 Commanders of the Order of the Niger (CON), 4 Federal Republic Medal- First Class (FRM I) and 4 Federal Republic Medal- Second Class FRM II. During award ceremony, Teni was seen to be the only recipient who failed to greet or shake the President when collecting her award.     The female young lawyer in the provocative social media viral post celebrating her call to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court has issued a disclaimer against the viral post. In a statement sent to, Miss Ifunanya Excel Grant Esq denied making the “Gangster and Stoner”post and blamed online scammers who stole her pictures to create a “catfish account” to Scam people.   According to her, she is not on any social media platform and didn’t make the Viral Facebook post. “I AM NOT A GANGSTER or a stoner or anything of such”, the statement reads in part. Miss Grant stated that she is an Instagram Model and not a practicing Lawyer at the moment. She explained that her pictures with cigars was part of her current work as Instagram Model and Actress and the pictures are for modeling and acting purposes only.   But notwithstanding her disclaimer, a look at the Instagram page of Miss Grant @Funaya_, shows that the message in the Viral post has a striking resemblance to the posts on her Instagram page where she post mostly sexually provocative and Sultry Videos and Pictures usually associated with Models. Even though, Miss Grant disclaimed being a Gangster, in one of her pictures on her page, she addressed herself as “Emotional Gangster”. In another picture posted on December 2021, at the Supreme Court of Nigeria Premises,  She addressed herself as the “Baddest Lawyer on Planet Earth”, contrary to her claim of not being in active legal practice.
